It has the worst racial bonus although it might be SLIGHTLY more desired after the SB nerf. Usually people prefer claymores and damnations.
Worst racial bonus, worst tank even with a mid turned into a low (and of course the capacitor issues engendered by that), firepower equivalent to slightly more than that of a Brutix ...
Why exactly the hell would I waste the hangar space on an Eos Mk. II for command role when I can use most of my preexisting cap and tank skills, train one more month-from-lvl-0 skill, and fly the Damnation with one of the best armor tanks in the game and a ganglink bonus that's useful to boot?
Heck, experiments have shown that the commandship ganglink bonus doesn't have much effect on the overall effectiveness. Which means that other command ships can run the EWAR links that provide the Eos' only upside almost as well. Yep, I'll just keep my Astarte for combat and crosstrain Damnation for the fleet. If the damage output is as unimportant as it seems from the forums, then the fact that I don't have t2 missile skills should be unimportant next to the 7-slot-plus-resists tank and extra cap and armor bonus.
The Eos is dead, long live the Eos.

Edited by: Ezekiel Sulastin on 29/11/2007 00:21:27 The nice thing about the Eos Mk. II is that it only takes a month to get into a Damnation with everything but weapons T2 \o/
And Caldexis, the difference is that the BCs like the Drake still have an awesome tank. Conversely, the Eos will suck hard. See the difference, or are you still riding the general Caldari joygasm train?

Which, IIRC, doesn't really matter since the ganglink bonus is all of maybe 5% with max skills - I mean, that's your argument as to why the Eos is still useful given its crap link bonus, it can fit other links nearly as effectively, right?
Works both ways - why not put the EWAR links on a worthwhile fleet command ship and let the Eos Mk. II rust in the hangar ;)
